Dalys Mithen is a singer, pianist, composer, arranger, music teacher and choir leader.
She is fiercely passionate and dedicated to the sharing, inspiring, facilitating and teaching of music. It has become her life mission to provide musical opportunities for everyone; regardless of ability, economic and cultural background, so every human can experience the joy of making music, solo and with others.
Dalys Mithen (nee Hill) began learning piano at age 4, and began singing and writing music for bands in year 11, where she also heavily focused on drama.
After winning a band competition and recording an EP with her original band Dusk, and performing many sold out shows with original band Huskin, she moved to Lismore to study contemporary music, specialising in composition.
She moved to Melbourne in 2004 and performed extensively throughout the city, solo and with her band ‘The Agents’, and recorded and produced her own EP of original music.
Dalys has been teaching music privately and in schools for over two decades, and currently lives and works in Emerald, Victoria.
She is fiercely passionate about sharing the joy of music with everyone, regardless of ‘ability’ and income status. In her spare time (which is not much!) she enjoys gardening and yoga.
